Course Description

5th Edition | February 5–7, 2026 | Athens, Greece
Metropolitan General Hospital & ISLE Academy | Endorsed by HERGS

Building on the success of the previous editions, R-SEGA returns to Athens with an immersive, skills-first experience designed for gynecologists who want to deepen proficiency in robotic surgery through meaningful, guided practice. Since its inception in 2022, R-SEGA has been positioned as an “all hands-on” training workshop—bringing practicing surgeons together to exchange expertise and advance technique, outcomes, and intraoperative confidence.

Built around the principle that mastery is earned through structured repetition, R-SEGA 2026 combines live surgical observation with intensive simulation-based training, bridging clinical reality with high-fidelity skill development. Participants train on realistic biological tissue simulation models, with a curriculum that emphasizes core robotic competencies—OR setup, docking, trocar placement, suturing and knot-tying, dissection, troubleshooting, and complication management—so learning translates directly back to the operating room.

What sets R-SEGA apart

  • Immersive, hands-on focus: a 3-day format explicitly designed as a manual, skills-building experience rather than a lecture-driven course.
  • Live-to-lab learning: observation of live surgeries on the first day, paired with hands-on training in labs and simulators to consolidate technique.
  • Proctored training with experienced faculty: the workshop is led by the scientific chair and supported by an expert faculty team proctoring participants throughout the program.
  • Endorsed support: R-SEGA has been publicly endorsed by the Hellenic Robotic Gynecological Society (HERGS) and the Society of European Robotic Gynaecological Surgery (SERGS).

Faculty & training team

R-SEGA 2026 features an expert multidisciplinary faculty directed by Dr. Nikolaos Plevris, and supported by ISLE Academy’s dedicated scientific and training team—ensuring a learning environment that is rigorous, supportive, and outcomes-driven.

Who should attend

R-SEGA is designed for practicing gynecologists aiming to incorporate or further develop robotic approaches in their surgical practice, with structured exposure to the essential concepts and workflows that underpin safe and efficient robotic surgery.

If your goal is to refine technique, expand confidence in complex robotic workflows, and return to practice with clearer decision-making and sharper execution, R-SEGA 2026 is built for you.
