ISLE ACADEMY, a SofMedica Group entity dedicated to the design and provision of educational services for the continuous professional development of Healthcare Professionals, took a giant leap in advancing medical education with its “Introduction to Basic Principles of Robotic Surgery” workshop, held at the University of Pécs Medical School in Hungary, from November 6th to 10th, 2023.
The immersive workshop, organized in collaboration with Pécs University Medical School and supported by SofMedica Hungary, introduced around 600 medical students from diverse cultural backgrounds to the intricacies of robotic surgery using the state-of-the-art Da Vinci™ Robotic Surgical System. This transformative educational initiative – the first of its kind in Europe – received an overwhelming response from students, reflecting their enthusiasm, passion, and eagerness for advanced medical training. At the same time, it set a new standard for robotic surgery education, underscoring ISLE ACADEMY’s commitment to revolutionizing the future of medicine and democratizing cutting-edge health technology by empowering the surgeons of tomorrow.
