ISLE ACADEMY, the dedicated entity of SofMedica Group, created to develop educational services necessary for the continuous professional development of Healthcare Professionals, recently concluded its inaugural 1st International Robotic Surgery Course for Non-Users. Specifically designed for General Surgery Specialists, the course took place from September 24th to 26th, 2023 and was held under the scientific direction of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
The workshop was a remarkable success and offered attendees an insightful introduction to the world of Robotic Surgery and its wide-ranging applications, by encompassing both theoretical and practical sessions. The theoretical sessions covered essential topics, including indications, benefits, new guideline trends, and the technical setup of robotic surgery operating rooms. On the other hand, the practical sessions provided participants with valuable experience on console simulator and tissue models, using the Da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgical System. During the third day, attendees had the unique opportunity to observe live robotic surgery cases, gaining insights into real-world applications of this cutting-edge technology.
